Tile match games ask you to find three identical objects and bring them together in a tray, rather than lining pieces up on a grid. It is the format behind the triple-match and mahjong-trio games, and its pressure comes from a place no swap-based puzzle has: the tray is small. The Tray Is the Real Board
Beginners read the pile; experienced players read the tray. An object taken because it was easy to reach is a slot gone, and three of those in a row is usually the whole game. The habit worth building is simple: before collecting anything, find the third copy. If you cannot see it, leave the first two where they are — they are safer in the pile than in your hand.
