Bouncing Balls

About this page. The Bouncing Balls many people remember is a Novel Games title, and this site is not connected to Novel Games. That version is not available here; the game on this page is the edition published by Agame under the same name.

Everything happens on one line: the shot you are about to take. A ball waits at the bottom, the mass sits above, and a hit that puts three of a colour together drops the lot. Miss, and your ball joins the mass and makes the next shot harder.

Speed is part of it. The faster you clear, the less the board grows, and the pressure builds from the top down rather than from a clock. Later levels add colours, which is a quiet way of making the same shot much harder — with three colours a stray ball is recoverable, with six it is a wall.

Aim carefully is the whole instruction, and it stays true for as long as you play.

Controls

Aim with the mouse or your finger and click or tap to shoot.

How to Play

  1. Line up the shot before you take it — the ball goes where you point.
  2. Match three or more of one colour to clear them from the mass.
  3. Clear quickly: slow play lets the board build downward.
  4. Expect more colours as you progress, and keep your stray balls to a minimum before they arrive.

Tips & Tricks

Shoot at the edge of a colour group rather than its middle. A ball landing on the outside can still complete a match, while one buried in the centre often just adds bulk you will have to clear later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the Novel Games version?

No. This page runs the Bouncing Balls edition published by Agame, and this site is not affiliated with Novel Games.

How do I clear balls?

Shoot so that three or more of the same colour end up together. The matched group drops out of the mass.

Does it get harder?

Yes. More colours appear as you move up the levels, which makes a stray ball far more costly.

Can I play it on a phone?

Yes. Aim with your finger and tap to shoot.
