Asteroid Burst

Asteroid Burst takes the bubble-shooter layout and moves it into a galaxy. The clusters overhead are asteroids, the projectile is a bomb, and a group of the same colour breaks apart when you connect enough of them. Mechanically this is the shooter you know, wearing a different coat.

The coat changes one thing that matters. Your ship sits in the playfield rather than safely outside it, so the descending field is a threat to you and not only a scoring clock. A shot that fails to connect adds mass above you, and the margin between a slow board and a lost one is narrower than in a standard shooter.

That gives the game a different rhythm from a relaxed pop-and-clear. You are managing a gap as much as a colour, and the aiming line rewards patience more than speed.

Controls

Aim with the mouse or your finger, then click or tap to fire.

How to Play

  1. Line the launcher up with a cluster sharing your bomb's colour.
  2. Fire; three or more connected pieces break away together.
  3. Bank shots off the side walls to reach clusters tucked behind others.
  4. Watch the space above your ship — contact ends the run.

Tips & Tricks

A miss costs you twice: no clear, and one more object between you and the rest of the field. When no good shot exists, the cheapest move is often the wall bounce that parks a bomb harmlessly at the edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Asteroid Burst a shooter or a puzzle?

It uses bubble-shooter rules — aim, fire, clear groups of a colour — with a space setting rather than a bubble board.

Can you lose?

Yes. If an asteroid reaches your spaceship the run is over, so the descending field has to be managed.
