Find The Pairs

This one belongs to the memory family rather than the match-3 one. Each level presents a set of shapes and asks you to spot the identical pairs within a limited time — recognition and recall rather than swapping and clearing.

The limited time is what makes it hard, because memory work does not speed up under pressure the way pattern-spotting does. Rushing produces wrong pairs, wrong pairs cost you time, and the spiral from there is short. The players who finish comfortably are the ones who slow down slightly rather than speeding up when the clock gets tight.

Shapes rather than pictures keeps the game honest: there is no incidental detail to latch onto, so you are genuinely remembering positions rather than recognising a scene. It is a small, sharp exercise, and it belongs in the catalogue as a change of pace from the swap boards around it.

1. Scan the layout before touching anything — look for shapes that repeat.
2. Click the two you believe are identical.
3. Work in a fixed order, row by row, so your memory has structure.
4. Complete every pair before the time is up.

When the clock tightens, slow down rather than speed up. Wrong pairs cost more time than careful ones save, and the last thirty seconds are where a hurried player loses a level they had already almost solved.
