Pop Jewels

Pop Jewels drops the swap entirely. Select two or more jewels of the same colour where they touch and they go together, in a single click. Because there is nothing to rearrange, every decision is about which group to take, and about what the collapse afterwards will leave behind.

The scoring is what gives that decision teeth: the more jewels you clear in one click, the more points each individual jewel is worth. A pair is close to worthless, a run of ten is worth far more than five pairs. So the whole game becomes an exercise in patience — specifically, in resisting the small clear that would break up a cluster you were quietly growing.

It is simple enough to understand in one sentence and awkward enough to master that the score column keeps moving for a long time. A good pick when you want something to think about rather than something to react to.

1. Look for jewels of the same colour that touch each other.
2. Click the group to clear it — two or more will do, but bigger pays disproportionately better.
3. Watch how the board collapses and which colours end up next to each other.
4. Chase a high score rather than a finish line; there is no timer telling you to hurry.

Before clicking a group, check whether one more jewel of that colour is a single clear away from joining it. Waiting one turn to merge two clusters is nearly always worth more than taking both separately, because the per-jewel value rises with the size of the group.
