Christmas Gift Sweeper

Gift Sweeper describes itself as a relaxation game and behaves like one. Swap two neighbouring gift tiles, form a line of at least three of the same gift, and they leave the field. Levels unlock as you clear them, and that is the whole of the structure.

What makes it restful is the absence of the usual machinery: no lives to lose, no currency to manage, no daily task waiting when you return. The only measure is how far through the level list you have got, and the list is patient.

It is a reasonable thing to leave open in a second tab during December — a board you can dip into for ninety seconds and leave without abandoning anything.

1. Swap two adjacent gift tiles to form a line of three or more identical gifts.
2. Clear the level goal to unlock the next one.
3. Take your time; nothing is timing or scoring your speed.
4. Work through the list at whatever pace suits you.

Without a clock, the only inefficiency left is a wasted swap. Check that a match actually exists before moving — on this board an illegal swap simply snaps back, and that is the one thing that turns a relaxed session into a fiddly one.
