Bubble Game 3: Christmas Edition

This is the plain bubble shooter, dressed for December and not otherwise interfered with. Fire a coloured bubble into the cluster, land it against two or more of its own colour, and the group comes down along with anything left hanging beneath it.

Its virtue is that nothing has been added. No boosters to manage, no currency, no daily loop — just the geometry problem that has kept this format alive for decades: which shot clears the most, and which shot leaves the cluster in the most workable shape for the one after it. Those two questions rarely have the same answer, and choosing between them is the entire game.

The winter treatment is done with care rather than pasted on, and the bubbles stay legible against the snow, which matters more than it sounds when you are lining up a bounce off the side wall at a shallow angle.

1. Check the colour of the bubble in the cannon.
2. Aim at a group of that colour and fire.
3. Look for the bubbles holding a section to the ceiling — breaking those drops the lot.
4. Bounce off the walls to reach angles you cannot hit directly.

The shot that clears most now is rarely the shot that leaves the strongest position. Before firing, look at what the cluster will look like afterwards — that second question is the whole difference between a short run and a long one.
