Sweet Candy World

Sweet Candy World is a chaining game rather than a swapping one: you link candies of the same type into a run and the whole run blasts away. Jellies and cookies join the sweets, so the board carries three families of piece rather than one.

That variety is what gives it a rhythm. A board thick with one type invites a long greedy chain; a board where all three are mixed rewards patience, because the chain you can see is rarely the longest one available. Learning to spot the second, longer route before committing is the whole improvement curve.

The presentation is loud in the way this corner of the genre usually is — big glossy pieces, satisfying blast on release — and it asks nothing of you beyond a finger and a few minutes.

1. Look for candies, jellies or cookies of the same type sitting together.
2. Press and drag across them to build the chain.
3. Trace the whole route before releasing — longer chains blast more.
4. Release to clear and let the board refill.

When two chains are available, take the one that leaves the remaining types mixed. A board that separates into three neat regions stops offering long routes, and long routes are the only thing this game really rewards.
