Candy Hero
A superhero buried in sweets, and clearing the board is the rescue.

The premise is daft and works: a flying superhero has acquired more candy than he can carry, and unless you clear it he goes down under the weight. Matching three or more sweets is the whole rescue operation.
Framing the clear as a rescue rather than a score does something small and real to the pacing — there is a reason to keep going that is not a number, and on a casual board that is worth more than another mechanic would be. The urgency is in the story, not in a timer breathing on you.
Under the joke it is a conventional swap board, drawn brightly and moving quickly. Nothing needs learning, nothing is being managed, and a session ends when you decide the hero has suffered enough.

- Look for the follow-up match after each drop.
- Keep going as long as it stays fun.
Tips & Tricks
Clear from the bottom upward. The pieces above fall into the space and frequently finish a second match on their own, which on a board with no timer is the cheapest scoring you will find.
