Candy Rush

Point targets per level, and a scoring rule that pays for size rather than speed.

Candy Rush

Candy Rush sets a points target for every level and leaves you to reach it. What makes the arithmetic interesting is that the payout is not flat: the more candies of one type you bring together — in a row, a column, or a group — the more each one is worth.

That turns the obvious strategy on its head. Clearing three sweets four times over scores considerably less than clearing twelve at once, so the useful habit is holding off on the easy match while you look for the arrangement that makes it bigger. On the later levels, where targets stiffen, that difference is the whole game.

The board is bright and busy, and the pace is yours — the pressure comes from the target, not from a clock.

Controls

Click or tap two adjacent candies to swap them.

How to Play

  1. Check the points target for the level.
  2. Swap two neighbouring candies to collect three or more of the same kind.
  3. Build the biggest group you can before clearing — the score per candy rises with size.
  4. Hit the target to advance.

Tips & Tricks

Count what a match will be worth before taking it. Two extra candies in the same clear are worth more than a whole separate match, and on tight targets that is the difference between advancing and repeating the level.
