Athena Match 2
The Greek-myth match-3 series continues, this time tying cleared boards to restoring temples.

The second Athena game keeps the board of the first and adds a reason to finish it. Levels now feed temple restoration, so progress is shown as something being rebuilt rather than as a number climbing. That is a common structure in the genre and it works for the usual reason: a meter attached to a picture is easier to care about than a meter attached to nothing.
Beyond that, the changes are quantitative. There are hundreds of new levels, and daily missions give a short task to return to when you do not want a long session. Neither alters how a swap behaves.
If you played the first game, this is more of it with a frame around the progress. If you did not, starting here costs nothing: the story is thin enough that no ground is missed, and the board teaches itself in the opening chapter.
Controls
Tap or click one artifact, then the one beside it, to trade places.
How to Play
- Trade two neighbouring artifacts to make a row or column of three.
- Clear what the goal panel lists to finish the level and advance the rebuild.
- Collect the daily mission reward before starting a long run.
- Save boosters for levels with limited moves rather than open ones.
Tips & Tricks
The restoration meter only moves on completed levels, not on points. Grinding a board you have already passed adds nothing to it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to play Athena Match first?
No. The sequel restates its rules in the opening levels and the story carries over only loosely.
What do cleared levels unlock?
They feed temple restoration, which is how the game displays your progress.
