Monsters and Cake

Feed hungry monsters by matching them — several kinds of cake, and a clock.

Monsters and Cake

The premise is silly and works: little monsters are hungry, and matching monsters of the same colour sets them munching through the cake. Chocolate, jelly, pudding, fruit cake — each type behaves like a level to be eaten through, and the clock decides how far you get.

Because the eating is the progress bar, the board and the goal are the same thing, which keeps the game readable at speed. There is no separate objective panel to check; if monsters are chewing, you are winning.

The time pressure is what gives it teeth. A clean chain keeps the cake disappearing steadily, while a stalled board is visible immediately — the munching stops, and you can see exactly how much you have left to do.

Controls

Click or tap two neighbouring monsters to swap them.

How to Play

  1. Swap two neighbouring monsters to match three or more of the same colour.
  2. Watch the cake — how fast it disappears is your progress.
  3. Keep a steady rhythm; the clock does not pause while you look.
  4. Push as far through the cake types as you can.

Tips & Tricks

Keep clearing near the part of the cake still standing. Matches made away from it look productive but leave the monsters chewing at nothing, and on a timer that is the same as not moving.
