Candy Rain 8

Eight instalments is an unusual run for any puzzle series, and the eighth leans on it: more levels than its predecessors, more candy types, more waffles to break and more coin chests to open. The formula has not changed because it did not need to.

Waffles and chests give the boards a second layer beyond matching. Waffles are obstacles that need clearing rather than avoiding, and chests reward getting somewhere specific, so most levels have a shape you can read from the layout before your first move.

It is a comfortable game to fall into. Nothing here is trying to be clever — it is a well-worn series doing its best-known trick at the largest scale it has managed so far.

1. Read the layout: where the waffles are, and where the chests sit.
2. Swap two neighbouring candies to line up three or more.
3. Break the waffles before chasing volume — they gate the board.
4. Open the coin chests as you reach them.

Waffles first, always. They block the routes your later matches need, and a board cleared everywhere except its waffles is a board that ran out of moves for no reason.
